Hey there!!! I’m SO excited you're here and if you've already booked with me, I'm super psyched about your upcoming senior session. Now the question is, Are you maybe trying to figure out what to wear? I’m here to help! Here are some of my favorite tips and tricks to help you guide your outfit choices!
Choosing what you will wear for your photo shoot is fun! So, here are some of the best ways to choose what to wear.

BE COMFORTABLE

If you do not like fitted clothing, fine!!! We will most likely be sitting on a stool or the ground, laying down, walking and doing other things involving moving around. Don’t be uncomfortable. You can be fashionable and wear whatever you feel that looks great. But I definitely want you to be comfortable. Comfort is key.

BE BRIGHT & THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX

On camera, solid black + white is okay. But if you like color, go for it! So, when choosing an outfit for your senior session, try to choose colors that POP and that complement your hair and skin color! Primary colors like red, blue, orange and yellow photograph beautifully as well as emerald green, bright purples, pinks, oranges and any other colors that really POP! Sometimes, color combos that may seem odd in-person end up photographing BEAUTIFULLY on camera!

ADD LAYERS

In the colder months (fall + winter), adding layers to your outfits always looks STUNNING in portraits! Sweaters and scarves add dimension to your images and make for super fun posing options! Even in the warmer months (spring + summer) you can add layers and dimension.

GO FOR IT....ACCESSORIZE

When planning your outfit, don’t forget to plan accessories!! Pieces like scarves, hats, earrings, bright shoes or sneakers can add pop to an outfit! Okay, I'm talking, rings, bling bling, necklaces, and any art pieces that you wear that you created and just love would be perfect additions to what you may want to wear to your session.

GO FOR VARIETY OF LOOKS

When planning your outfits, there’s a VARIETY of looks and categories that will work well for a session. I suggest that seniors choose from these categories: casual-laidback, school- related, sports-related, edgy, and of course, whatever you like and your own personal and unique style. And if you’re thinking of doing more than one outfit during your session, bring the different outfits. Bottom line is that variety translates into a beautiful array of looks during your senior portrait session. It’s okay if each outfit looks dramatically different! I also have a changing tent where you can do a quick change into a different outfit if you choose to do so. No problem. It can be quick and sweet!! I always do a consultation call before your session to go over what you're thinking of wearing so I can share advice and just let you know that I have insight into what would work for a session.

VOILA...AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!!!
