Hi there! I’m excited to share highlights from a recent birthday photo session I captured in Prince George’s County, Maryland. As a family, branding lifestyle, and senior photographer serving the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area, I’m passionate about creating beautiful, meaningful images—and more importantly, unforgettable experiences—for the amazing individuals and families I work with.

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Renee, who wanted to do something special for herself this year—her very first birthday photo shoot. She told me she was ready to celebrate in a unique way, capturing the joy and vibrancy of who she is right now.

Together, we planned a session that reflected her passions and personality—from roller skating and baseball to wearing bold, colorful fashion. Renee wore stunning flowy dresses from Blue December, a chic boutique in Bowie, Maryland, owned by her friend Tonja. And she didn’t celebrate alone—her close friends and family came out to cheer her on, making the shoot even more fun and meaningful.

Renee is a beautiful soul—full of life, creativity, and energy—and it was a true honor to capture all of that through my lens. A huge thank-you also goes to Sherry, who joined me as a second photographer to help bring the magic to life.

Sonia Greenaway Mickle is a senior photographer and portrait photographer based out of Fort Washington Maryland and Northern Virginia and serves the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Her goal is to bring out every senior’s personality in their images and she's dedicated to making sure that every senior session is unique and different so that you enjoy your images that reflect you and only you, know that you're special and valued, and experience a fun time.
