Why Fall for Senior Sessions? Here's Why!

Hi There All!!! We're talking FALL!!!!! The fall of your senior year is filled with tons of excitement! Football games, cross country meets, filling out college applications, going on college visits, and being involved in various school activities, like yearbook, school plays, homecoming, and enjoying all those precious moments with your besties and friends. And there's probably so much more happening during the fall of your senior year!

Fall senior photos are a great way to capture this
monumental time in your life.

Now, of course, not everything about the Fall is perfect, but it's absolutely pretty close to being the bestest season for taking those beautiful senior photos, mainly because of ideal weather, nice warm favorable lighting, the beauty of the season, and a tad more stress free for you during your senior year in high school!!! When I was in high school, I remember early fall as being a good time to get things done before the grind of senior year took hold.

So below are listed the good and the best benefits of a Fall shoot and some of the drawbacks of doing a Fall senior photo session. Fall Pros:

• Cooler weather

• Beautiful fall colors for your backdrop

• Less reschedules because not as much rain in fall

• Less busy at the beginning of senior year than at the
  end

• Fall clothing - sweaters, boots, jackets and more!

• Fall senior sessions mean getting your photos back in
  plenty of time to place an ad in the back of your
  senior yearbook

• Check it off your senior to-do list

• Fall flowers like dahlias and other great flowers, with vibrant colors, are in bloom

And to be fair, here's a few of the drawbacks to Fall. Not that deep, or onerous in my estimation. You tell me!!! Would you Agree or Disagree???

Fall Cons:

• Need to wait until late October and November for
  our area to truly look like fall

• If you play a fall sport, this may not be the best
  time due to your practice and game schedule. With regard to this I definitely will work around your schedule!!

• If you don’t love fall clothing, may not be best
  season for you

What to wear for fall senior sessions:

· Sweaters - cozy, textured sweaters give your photos visual appeal.

· Jeans - a great option to showcase the fall season. Pair with your favorite sweater
for a complete look.

· Boots - the shoe of fall! Boots look great with dresses, jeans and more!

· Colors that scream fall! Think rich colors such as browns, oranges, deep reds and more.

· Patterns - plaids and fall florals are great options!

· Textures - knits, leather, faux fur are all great options for fall
